“I Started working out at the Y in September of 2020 when they reopened after renovations. I can honestly say it was one of the (if not the best decision) I made in 2020! It was through working out at the Y and proper dieting, that I was able to lose an ample amount of weight! Not only is the equipment quality, the staff and other members are genial and make you feel welcomed! It’s a great atmosphere to workout and become healthier in.”

Everyone is so welcoming and everyone has been amazing with the kids. The Y is the only place I can bring my kids and actually get a little time in for myself. Its definitely family oriented. We’ve made a lot of great friends as well. Everyone we have met has been so supportive and encouraging. I wouldn’t work out anywhere else.

"I've been an active member of the Beckley YMCA since 1985, part of the 6am crew. Utilizing all the Y has to offer has given me, I believe, a much better quality of life. I am able to do pretty much any physical activity I choose, from mountain biking to running to keeping my grandchildren. I've also made some great friends along the way. Being able to enjoy a range of exercise while connecting with friends at the Y for the past 35 years has made a big difference in my life!

I’ve been a member for almost five years. My favorite exercises are lap swimming and riding the exercise bikes. As a retiree, I enjoy going during daytime hours. The staff is very friendly and the facility so clean. My husband and I are moving out of state soon and I will miss the Beckley YMCA so much..

The Y saved my life!!! Linda, an instructor, in cycling, noticed a changed in my breathing, etc. Told me to stop, go to Dr., etc. 15 yrs, triple bypass & here I am!! Love the Y & Linda!
